BIODEX™ is proven for controlling bacteria and odor in sewage and wastewater. At the recommended rate, BIODEX targets and kills coliform bacteria such as Escherichia coli (E. coli), Enterobacter aerogenes, and Salmonella and Listeria. The addition of BIODEX in any wastewater holding tank either temporarily or permanently allow for an immediate reduction in bacteria and odor, by peculiarly controlling the Anaerobic bacteria.
Because of this species targeted treatment of BIODEX, a balance between aerobic and anaerobic biomass degradation process is accelerated during wastewater treatment, leaving the tanks cleaner. BIODEX treatment also breaks down biomass and making the solid waste a better flowing liquid that results in more natural tank draining and/or pumping.
How it works
BIODEX is a mineral-based bacterial regulator that targets and kills anaerobic bacteria at relatively lower concentration while allowing the growth of beneficial aerobic bacteria. That promotes a balanced aerobic and anaerobic biomass digestion in the tank. At a relatively low concentration (at ppm level), copper ions in BIODEX penetrate the target organisms (sewage and fecal bacteria: Escherichia coli, Enterococci, Enterobacter aerogenes, etc.) at the cellular level and kill the odor-causing bacteria that produce noxious/toxic gases like ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), methane (CH4), and sulphur dioxide (SO2). By breaking down all of these bacteria including the universal water born bacteria at the cellular level the sewage and wastewater treatment process becomes far more efficient and competent. Leaving your tank odor and bacteria free.
